Soul Survivors
The Soul Survivors are probably the country’s top exponents of classic soul music.

The band take their inspiration and much of their material from such great artistes like: Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, The O’Jays, The Trammps, The Detroit Spinners, Isley Brothers & Marvin Gaye, and delivers it with great authenticity and enthusiasm.

Following in those great footsteps, The Soul Survivors with their own infectious stage act, give the best of everything:

Soul Survivors

Three part vocal harmonies, grooving rhythm and top horn section – not to mention all the entertainment you can handle.

Soul has played a huge part in each member’s musical career that all boast excellent musical pedigrees that read like a who’s who. Glen Hughes, Musical Youth, Steve Gibbons, Bitty McClean, Screaming Lord Sutch & Ruby Turner.

Combining years of experience in all types of venues, from small clubs to the Royal Albert Hall, they’ve appeared with: the Temptations, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, The Three Degrees, Johnny Bristol, Marv Johnson, Geno Washington, Edwin Starr, Freda Payne, Eddie Holman, The contours, Jimmy James, Gary U.S. Bonds & Sister Sledge – to name but a few! They have also enjoyed a sell out week at Ronnie Scott’s and more recently Lenny Henry chose them for his end of series party.

In September 1996, The Soul Survivors under took a national ten week theatre tour in Nick Pemberton’s soul musical thriller Hold Back The Night to which they received rave reviews.

1997 is already set to be a very busy year. In February, the Soul Survivors star in their own show with special quests The Divas and Ian “Sludge” Lees, at the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton and The Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham.

March sees the band back in the theatre, touring nationally in “The Classic Soul Show”.
