An accomplished and technically skilled, trained vocalist, Joanna James has performed throughout the UK and Europe numerous times as part of production theatre shows and as a solo artist.
As a lead vocalist in the acclaimed rock ‘n’ roll show That’ll Be The Day, Joanna has performed at most of the UK’s major theatres including the London Palladium, Birmingham Symphony Hall and Wembley Conference Centre. Playing the role of Agnetha in the stage ABBA tribute Thank You For The Music, she again appeared at major theatres in the UK and Europe, headlining an outdoor festival at Epsom racecourse to an audience of over 13,000. She also played a lead role in West End in Concert a show celebrating musical theatre and Broadway.
Joanna’s extensive experience includes tours of Europe, mainly theatres in Germany, several of London’s top hotels including Claridge’s, the Savoy and Grosvenor House, pre-match entertainment for Tottenham Hotspurs at White Hart Lane, and working alongside many celebrities such as Cliff Richard, Michael Ball and Russell Watson.
As a solo artist Joanna has performed at cabaret venues, golf clubs, hotels, and private functions, and for Warner Leisure Hotels, Parkdean Resorts, Butlin’s and Haven. She has played lead roles and been company manager in many pantomimes, including a royal performance to Princes William and Harry. She also devised and directed a touring Christmas show which appeared at Center Parcs, theatres and cabaret venues nationwide.
Joanna performs a varied and lively set including ‘80s & ‘90s pop, rock and dance music, but specialises in musical theatre.
